Puerto Rico, February 26, 2025 – On Friday, February 7, the facilities of our service workshop became the stage for a day full of talent, passion, and commitment during the SkillsUSA Puerto Rico State Diesel Mechanics Competition.
Students from vocational schools across the island demonstrated their skills and expertise in diesel mechanics at various locations around Puerto Rico, in the presence of parents, teachers, and Department of Education staff. The energy and enthusiasm were at their peak, reflecting the effort and dedication of our future professionals.
As part of the competition, on Friday, February 21, the winners of all disciplines at the state level were announced in a special ceremony held at the Municipal Theater of Cayey. In the diesel mechanics discipline, the winners were:
1st place: Miguel Santiago – Tomas C. Ongay School, Bayamón
2nd place: Zariel Santos – Antonio Lucchetti School, Arecibo
