Rimco is committed to educating our youth
Rimco collaborates with the Department of Education to provide training and support to diesel mechanic students through workshops, curriculum, and hands-on experience opportunities. Our goal is to introduce students to the latest technologies in heavy equipment and engines and help prepare them for the competitive workforce. We support vocational schools in various ways. We offer future technicians technical training and advice on their field of work and the importance of completing their training, either at our facilities or directly at the schools. The Miguel Such Vocational School has two Cat marine engines donated by Rimco along with the teaching curriculum, making it the only vocational school to have a marine engine curriculum.
Since 1981, Rimco has sponsored the Diesel Technology Vocational Competitions in association with the Department of Education and Skills USA. As a sponsor, Rimco hosts the competition at its facility, offers prizes to the winners, and helps prepare the final candidate for the state competition held annually in the United States.
In 2018, the Center for Educational Innovation, an organization based in New York City whose mission is to support the transformation of schools in the public system, recognized Rimco’s work with technical schools in Puerto Rico.
The Rimco family is always ready to lend a hand when our communities find themselves in need, distributing food and essential items to hurricane and earthquake victims. We participate annually in the campaign of the Association against Muscular Dystrophy and support different non-profit organizations through events such as the Banco Popular 5K race.

On the other hand, in 2020 after several earthquakes affected the southern part of the Island, the Rimco team delivered food and articles of primary necessity to those affected. With this, we reaffirm our commitment to aiding our community. Something that we will continue to do wherever and whenever we are needed.
